Cuba Libre 🇨🇺

A better way to say rum and coke

Cuba Libre cocktail

The classic rum and coke, also known as the Cuba Libre - a much better name and we should start calling it that more often 😁.

The drink was created in Cuba in the early 1900s, but its exact origins are not certain. Its origin is associated with the heavy U.S. presence in Cuba following the Spanish–American War of 1898; the "Cuba libre" name (Free Cuba), was the slogan of the Cuban independence movement. Coca-Cola was first imported to Cuba in 1900, which is the cola ingredient that is traditionally used.
